    No WTC final for India!

That is the end of India's WTC cycle. No third straight appearance for Rohit Sharma & Co. Australia meanwhile is all but through subject to not getting any over-rate point penalties.

The ignominy is compounded by Australia snatching the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for its hold after 10 years. The tour started on a high in Perth but the Indians were handed a reality check in Adelaide. India was still in the hunt after Brisbane but it just crumbled in the crunch moments in Melbourne and Sydney, thus handing the series to Australia.

That’s it from our side! We have the Champions Trophy simmering in the backdrop and an England series before that. Stay tuned on Sportstar for all the latest news and updates.
